Brian Neff led 60 of the 75 laps at New Smyrna Speedway last night in the PaintBooth.com Outlaw Modified Series. The victory gives Neff a series leading 4 wins in the 2014-B season. Matt Hoose finished 2nd followed by Timothy Finnegan, Scott Wilhelmi, and Michael Holloway.

Lowell Jewell scored his first BRL win in the NMN Super Late Model Series. He started on the pole and led all 75 laps beating Matt Hoose to the checkered flag by just 1/10th of a second. Coming home 3rd was Phillip Willis followed by Brian Neff and Peter Taloumis.

In the SimHQ Motorsports Legends Series it was Chris Roberts showing the way, leading 41 of the 50 laps. This is Robert’s first win in the series. Second place went to Brian Neff, followed by Matt Hoose, Michael Holloway, and Donny Moore.

Getting the night started was the HMPPhoto.com Mini Stock Series. Matt Hoose scored the win, his 7th on the season. Chris Roberts and Brian Neff crossed the line door to door to finish 2nd and 3rd while Ryan Nuss and Donny Moore took the 4th and 5th spots.

BRL heads to Georgia next Saturday for the SimHQ Motorsports Championship Night @ Lanier National Speedway! All 4 series will crown a champion and celebrate a successful 2014-B season with plenty of door to door and bumper to bumper short track racing under the lights!

The feature race at Martinsville Speedway was dominated by Donny Moore last night. The PaintBooth.com Outlaw Modified Series event went caution free while Moore led 73 of the 75 laps to take the win. Pole sitter Mike Holloway led the first 2 laps before falling back through the field. Matt Hoose finished 2nd after 60 plus laps of matching lap times with Moore. Meanwhile Lowell Jewell spent the better part of 50 laps running down Brian Neff and then the battle was on for 3rd! Neff finally made the mistake Jewell was waiting for and gave up the position. Jewell returned the favor a few laps later getting sideways out of a turn allowing Neff to retake 3rd. They were bumper to bumper taking the checkered flag with Neff winning the battle. Timothy Finnegan finished 5th.

Moore also took the win in the NMN Super Late Model Series race, leading 44 of the 75 laps. Neff led 27 laps and came home 2nd while Holloway led 4 laps and finished 3rd. Rounding out the top 5 were newcomers to the league, Scott Wilhelmi and Jeffrey Kochis.

Chris Hensley scored a victory in the SimHQ Motorsports Legends Series race followed by Hoose, Neff, Moore and Wilhelmi.

The HMPPhoto.com Mini Stock event went caution free for 40 laps and Mike Holloway scored his first BRL victory! Holloway owns HMPPhoto.com and it must be pretty cool to win a race in a series that your company is the title sponsor! He matched lap times with pole sitter Ryan Nuss for 38 laps and finally took the lead with 2 to go. Nuss finished 2nd followed by Jewell, Wilhelmi, and Hoose.

With 2 events left in the 2014-B season, BRL heads south to New Smyrna Beach, FL. next week!
