Nineteen racers took the grid at Iowa Speedway for BRL’s first ever double-header. Race 1 was caution free for 30 laps of good, hard racing. Dylan Roe took the pole and led all 30 laps. His win comes in his first race in the series.
The finishing order was inverted to set the grid for race 2. Roe started 19th. Even more great racing in this one with only 2 cautions. Keith Haney and Mitch Leinen started on the front row after having technical problems in race 1. Leinen got a great start and took the point, leading 25 of the 30 laps. Roe worked his way through the field and took the lead from Leinen with 5 to go.
The last 5 laps were some of the most exciting racing this series has seen! When it was all over, Dylan Roe grabbed his 2nd win in his 2nd start in the OnPitRoad.com Crooked Still Legends Series.
Brian Young takes over the championship ponts lead with Lowell Jewell holding onto 2nd. Leinen moves into 3rd while Matt Hoose, who unfortunately has had to retire from the series, falls to 7th place. The series visits its final road course next week; Daytona International Speedway’s Short configuration.
